This painted denim jacket is made from a reclaimed jacket. This is a black jacket that is a blend of brushed cotton and elastane panels giving it stretch. The jacket is lined and has two zip pockets. The brushed cotton shows signs of wear but this gives it a distressed look. I have painted this jacket with a negative version of David Bowie's album 'Aladdin Sane'.
This jacket would best fit a 10-12 AU. This depends on how you like your denim to fit.

The majority of materials used to create my items are upcycled, refashioned or reworked from my collection of preloved garments, unique textiles, vintage linens and found treasures. Used in this item are:
-Cotton and elastane jacket - AU 10
-Fabric paint
Due to the different settings and fidelity in computer monitors and devices, the fabric and colour tones may appear slightly different in person. I do my best to photograph the items as accurately as possible. However variations in time of day, daylight, shade etc. can also affect this. Unfortunately, shipping can incur some wrinkling in the fabrics, and as this garment is made from a variety of mediums it will require care when washing, drying or ironing (pressing). This jacket has been heat treated but will require some specific care to maintain.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS Each fabric piece can respond differently to heat so:
- when washing, cold water and hand washing is recommended
- when drying, natural air dry is preferable over tumble drying as some fabrics may shrink
- when ironing, set the iron to a warm rather than hot setting and iron from the reverse side or pace a piece of baking paper over the design
